Vent clips block the airflow, rattle, and sag with a heavy phone. This sits flat on the dash or windscreen where your eyes already go, and does not move when you hit a speed bump.
Leather or vinyl dash? Use the included adhesive pad — the vacuum needs a smooth surface to seal against.

Pure physics
Rated to 7 kg
The manufacturer rates the base at 7 kg — around fifteen pounds, or many times the weight of any phone. It is tested through emergency braking, speed bumps and unpaved road.
If the grip ever weakens, it is dust. Rinse the base, let it dry, and the seal returns.
